Summer Fun in Warroad
Warroad is a great place to visit in the summer, and an even better place to live! Enjoy time spent in nature, on the lake, and plenty of events and activities to keep you busy! Northborn™ Days | June 10-11
Northborn Days kicks off the summer on June 10-11. This marquee event is in its second year and commemorates the dedication of Allison Park. On Friday, June 10th, bring the whole family for a free-will offering community picnic, complete with cotton candy! Children will enjoy the Northborn Birthday Party with activity stations across the park, a children’s entertainer on the stage, water games, and foot races! Then set up your lawn chair for the Northborn Talent Competition, featuring vocal talent from across our region! The night will end with an outdoor movie showing under the stars!
The fun will continue June 11th with the Northborn Music Festival! This year there will be four different bands performing on the amphitheater stage. Good Morning Bedlam will be back by popular demand, with their folksy bluegrass high energy music. Then Johnny Cochran, a country pop artist straight from Nashville, TN will perform. This band also serves a special role at Friday’s Northborn Talent Competition as Celebrity Guest Judges! Next up is Church of Cash who will bring the genre-spanning music of Johnny Cash to life. Two-time winner of the Midwest Country Music Organization’s “Best Tribute Act” and 2021 Inductee to the Minnesota Music Hall of Fame, this seasoned international touring band will have you singing along to all your old Man in Black favorites. Finally, The 4ontheFloor will close out the night with their well-oiled, high-octane rock ‘n’ roll! Alongside the music, there will be food trucks, beer gardens, and activities like yoga, cornhole tournaments, mini golf, inflatables and more throughout the day. 16th Annual Motor-Head Classic Car and Bike Show | June 25
This event is held at The Shed, an iconic car museum in Warroad, and features live music, door prizes, food vendors, and of course, some pretty amazing classic cars and bikes!
Fourth of July Festivities
Independence Day is always something to look forward to in Warroad! On July 1st, there will be a Patriotic Variety Show and outdoor movie showing at Allison Park. As the weekend continues into Independence Day, there will be a boat parade, inflatables, food trucks, parade, fireworks and more!
The Woods on the Water | July 16
The 23rd Annual Summer Fishing Tournament by The Woods will take place on Lake of the Woods, bringing hundreds of avid fishermen to the area! This year an event will be built around the tournament featuring a vendor market, activities, live music, food, and drinks down at The Point in Warroad.
Concert at the Park | July 23
A free community concert will be held at Allison Park. This year’s event will feature Ginny Owens and Love & the Outcome, two prominent Christian bands!
Yellow Rose Day | August 13
The final big event of the summer coincides with the Yellow Rose Race. Yellow Rose Day begins with the 5K/10K races and the fun will continue with vendor market, activities, food trucks, live music and more throughout the day. The night will end with a movie showing on the hill at Allison Park.
